Restaurant Spotlight: Krafty Krêpes
While walking through modern day La Jolla you will be sure notice the natives who are up to date on today’s hottest trends. Surprisingly, one of La Jolla’s favorite spots in town has everyone taking a step back in time. Krafty Krêpes has mastered the art of traditional crêpe making in their 1960’s styled Northern French Crêperie. By fusing Paris’ notoriously delicious crêpes with fresh, healthy options, they guarantee you have just stumbled upon your new happy place!
Only opening its doors in early 2012, they have already won over the hearts of La Jolla residents and tourists alike. Within a year of opening, Krafty Krêpes has been presented two Readers Choice Awards for Best Restaurant: Voted Best Dessert and Voted Best Breakfast. Every meal is prepared made to order including their smoothies and signature freshly squeezed juices.
Krafty Krêpes will keep your mouth watering as you watch your meal being created right before your eyes. Creative customers can even design their own crêpe at the signature interactive crêpe bar, which was featured on San Diego 6 News Report in a segment entitled “Where’s Ruben?” This chef to customer interaction guarantees you will receive unsurpassed service and fresh ingredients every time!
Trying to keep that beach body while in La Jolla? Not a problem. Aside from their Sweet Krêpes, which typically contain powdered sugar, succulent fruit, and chocolate of all forms, you can try their Savory Krêpes which are stuffed with melted cheeses, vegetables and an assortment of meat. Not in a crepe mood? (Although I don’t know if that’s possible!) Don’t miss out on their signature salads, panini’s, and soups.
Still not convinced? Check out their virtual tour on YouTube to see how their food is made and get a peek around the crêperie. With a variety of European and American food on the menu, Krafty Krêpes guarantees to be an engaging and irreplaceable experience!
