San Diego has a very rich Mexican heritage and what’s a better day to celebrate it than Cinco de Mayo? There are plenty of things to do to around San Diego, from Corona and Margarita specials to parades and festivals. Here are a few things to do for Cinco de Mayo:

– Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo
The 27th Annual Fiesta Old Town Cinco De Mayo is the largest Cinco de Mayo celebration north of the border. This FREE two-day fiesta takes place on Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2nd. The fiesta has an incredible variety of festivities and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy including a special kids area and stage. Los niños will shriek with excitement as they engage in an array of interactive activities.
– Chula Vista Cinco de Mayo
On May 8th, this signature event will feature live entertainment, authentic Mexican food and beverages from several Third Avenue Village restaurants and other food vendors; arts and crafts; a kids’ fun zone with mechanical rides; singing, dancing, and salsa contests at our main F Street stage; a Quinceanera event and fashion show at Memorial Park Bowl; and best of all, admission is free.
